Bunco Babes Are Ready to ROLL!

Me and the hubby are hosting Bunco game night tomorrow. I got this hand-crafted sign to hang in my dining room - it stays up all year around, 'cause I think it's so cute. Mama Bling Bling is all ready to go for tomorrow! I got the spinach dip mixed, Little Smokies cooking away in the Crock Pot (in my special Sweet N Tangy sauce - recipe below), a BIG OL' BOX of sweet wine for the Ladies, and a case of Buds for the fellas. One of the gals is bringing over some 7-layer dip, too - so get your tortilla chips out and be ready to DIG IN for these great SNACKIN' Faves!

Mama Bling Bling's Sweet N Tangy Little Smokies Sauce (can't you just TASTE IT! YUMMMM)

2 cups BBQ sauce

2 tbs. vinegar

1/2 cup of sugar

1/8 cup brown sugar

1 tbs. molasses 

A couple of squeezes of ketchup

Ladies, does your hubby annoy you?

Hey LADIES! My hubby REALLY annoyed me last night. He told me we are changing up the rec room and he's putting his mama's couch down there (no, not THIS mama's couch - HIS OWN MAMA'S!). That would maybe be fine, but this couch is so stinkin' old and it's covered in that clear vinyl. You know the kind they used to have in the 1970's? Yep, sooooo tacky! 

I mean, I said to him "It don't go with my decor down there. I got all my Precious Moments and Beanie Babies on those shelves."

Then he said "Well I AM THE ONE who put those shelves up for you, remember that?"

Then I said, "Yeah, and you screwed 'em in so tight, they pulled all the vinyl wood paneling back. Makes the walls looked puckered!"

Then we really got into it. Finally he was like, "Well, how about we put the couch in there but I'll cut off the vinyl cover?"

I thought that was a pretty good compromise. Then he told me I could bling out the walls down there if I wanted, and I was like "Oh, honey, I have tried! The bling didn't stick!" It was slick as all-get-out. So, Ladies, if you know of any tricks to get BLING to stick to vinyl wall paneling, let this Mama KNOW!

Later that night we went to Subways, so all was good. Subways is having a special all month long - buy one foot long, get the other one half off. I just hate they charge us for all those veggies, because I never get them. Like, who would want banana peppers on a turkey and ham?! Maybe weird people, but not me!

Family Moments Candles

I went to Wally World today for some new candles and usually get the $1 Mainstays mini-jars, but this time got some really cute ones that had "Family Moments" etched in silver in the glass holder. SOOOO awesome. Though the silver was flashy, I decided it wasn't quite flashy enough and could do with some actual BLING. So out came my glue gun and I attached a dozen or so around the rim, and then just a few around the "F" and the "M".

(see, Honey, I am writing about BLING!) - Yesterday I showed my very first post to my hubby. He was like "Why are you talkin' about politics when you are writing a Bling Blog?" And I am like "Well, it says the blog is about life AND bling, NOT just bling." But then I realized, he was right (after all, he's a manager for an insurance agency so he's real smart). I need to really focus on BLING, 'cause I am a bling-y gal.

So let me hear a WOO-WOO from all my girls out there who love Wal-Mart and BLING!!!!

Not my living room, but I sure do like it!

Applebees!!!

So a few days ago this weird lady who works at my daughter's school told me Applebee's wasn't going to hire anyone else on account of Obama winning - and that we oughta not go there any more. I was like, that's so crazy, we're still TOTALLY going there. They have the best food EVER and plus Monday nights kids eat free. Doesn't she know Mama Bling Bling doesn't cook on Mondays? After a big Sunday supper, Monday nights I am rel-AAAHHH-xing.

Anyway, that lady is CRAZY COO-COO and WEIRD, too! I mean, me and my family are totally normal. We just don't get into politics and stuff. Like, my hubby (his name is Jeff but everyone calls him "Bub") watches the news, but I don't. Well, SOMETIMES I watch with him 'cause I like how those girls on Fox 'N' Friends do their makeup. I'd like to look that airbrushed in real-life, right?! Wouldn't we all.
